AI / ML Engineer

Job Description

• Develop AI models to extract insights from image, video, and/or audio data.
• Liaise with the data team to integrate such insights with other/tabular data to perform useful and reliable predictions to help raise chicken farmers’ output.
• Communicate with Pitik’s stakeholders at all levels regarding the development and results of the models.
• Perform model optimization for deployment purposes.
• Build an end-to-end AI pipeline, starting from data annotations to deployment.

• Strong problem-solving, analytical skills, and inquisitive mindset.
• Self-starter and willing to get hands dirty in learning and building AI models.
• Team spirit; strong communication skills to collaborate with various stakeholders.
• Scientific knowledge, knowing how to find and read high-quality research papers and apply them.
• Proven experience in Machine Learning, with a focus on deep learning and computer vision (both still images and videos).
• Highly proficient in Python’s ML and numerical analysis packages (e.g. OpenCV, Scikit-Learn, Scikit-Image, Tensorflow, Keras, imutils, FastAI, PyTorch) and willing to explore & learn new things.
• Data acquisition skills (e.g. SQL) and knowledge of statistics and probability (for interpreting and presenting model results).
• Experience in ML development under low-resource and noisy settings (e.g., via data synthetics & transfer learning) is a plus.
• Experience in model optimization such as knowledge distillation, neural architecture search, and ONNX is a plus.
• Relevant working experience in a DevOps/MLOps/DataOps role, using the relevant tools and frameworks (e.g. MLFlow, KubeFlow, or ClearML), is a plus.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Information Science, or equivalent. An advanced degree (Master’s/Ph.D.) in a relevant field is a plus.
